How to use the calculator

The calculation is based on DIN EN 1995 (Eurocode 5) and is valid for nailed timber-to-timber connections. The load-carrying capacity refers to a single nail (connections do need at least two nails). For connections with multiple nails, the per nail load-carrying capacity may need to be reduced depending on the spacing between the nails.
